Although, our longest running database, this has evolved to encompass businesses that run Parts Sales, Parts & Services or Services Only.

Each of our clients has different requirements, so the base module is customised to suit the individual business.  Therefore, this is not an off-the-shelf package per se, as we carry out modifications to the base so that it is suitable for use.  Each business, even though there may be many similarities, is different both in what the business offers to its customers and in how they manage them, hence we make our databases work for our client.

It all started way back in 1993, in the early days of Microsoft Office products and Database Management Systems (DBMS).  Since this was a turning point for how information is stored, it opened the way for unprecendented progress in the use of databases, to the extent that most, if not all people now use one or more databases in some form each and every day!  Mind-boggling indeed! eBay, Amazon, indeed any site featuring a shopping cart, page sort or search, which is just about most sites people visit nowadays will be utilising a database behind the scenes.

So, Micro-Shop is the core module of our systems and we derive much of the needed parts for bespoke systems from it.  It consists of, amongst others, collections of Clients, Suppliers, Expenses, Staff, Serviceable Items, Products and Services.  These are manipulated to obtain Job Cards, Purchase Orders, Invoices and Statements, along with numerous reports, many of which are created or tailored to suit an individual application.

Micro-Shop is built around a generic subset that easily lends itself to be tailored to suit individual needs.  We understand that most off-the-shelf packages never quite make it as far as suitability is concerned, so we've designed in our systems the ability to make numerous changes to suit the circumstances.  And, since PC Systems are constantly changing, we realise we need to move with the requirements of both computer hardware and software as well as your business.  We are conscious of the need to save money in all aspects of the business, especially in the computing and networking environment, where the answer was to throw more money at the system to keep up, but since the time has come to reign in those wild horses and endeavour to save money in all areas, we favour the retention of equipment for as long as it is viable.

Our simple menuing system is built around assisting users to be able to work things out logically and enable them to get to the screen they need as quickly as possible and as effortlessly as possible.  Even menus are individually designed to each user, if required.
